Mason Garrett Keen, age 17 of Decaturville, TN passed away from this earthly life Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Lexington, TN.Mason was born December 9, 1999 in Jackson, TN to Bobby and Lisa Keen. Born the youngest of three boys, he was definitely the baby.Mason was a Junior at Riverside  and loved a lot of things, his friends and family, all things of sports, rook games, ping pong with his brothers, his dog"Rocky", and the UT Vols. But, anyone who really knew Mason, knew his favorite thing was football: especially Riverside Panther Football.#11 on the field, Mason had a passion & more heart for the game than few others have and would do anything for his team.  He left every ounce of his heart & soul on that turf every Friday night.  He had found a brotherhood in his Panther teammates and Mason's talent on the field gave him the opportunity to play linebacker on Defense.  He was named All District Honorable Mention for the 2016 football season.#1 in our hearts, Mason was a good friend, a good son, grandson, nephew, cousin and devoted teammate and although all of our hearts are broken right now we can take comfort in what the Bible tells us.Revelation 21:4"And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former thing are passed away.Mason is survived by his parents, Bobby and Lisa Mayo Keen, Grandfather"Papaw", Junior Lee Mayo,Brothers: Jacob Lee and Aaron Tyler Keen, Uncles: Charlie Keen & wife Beverly, David Keen & wife Lynn,Garry Keen & wife Delynn, Jimmy Keen & wife Connie, Paul Keen & wife Carla, Timmy Keen & wife Cathy, Aunts: Joyce Brawley & husband Brown, Susan Hainsworth & husband Jeff, Amy Northcutt & husband David, Laura Scates & husband Brandon.He, also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends, & teammatesHe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Cortez"Ted" & Larue Keen and his maternal grandmother "Granny" Gladys Yarbro Mayo.Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, March 24, 2017  3:00 PM at Riverside High School with Bro. Welvon Mayo, Bro. Brad Moore and Bro. Timmy Keen officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Visitation with the Keen family will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 2:00 PM Until 9:00 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home Decatur County. Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 9:00 AM until service at 3:00 PM at Riverside High School.
