Eduardo "Edward" Delgado De Leon

Mr. Eduardo"Edward"Delgado De Leon passed away peacefully on February 1, 2016 at his residence in Cumming , GA at the age of 87 years due to natural causes.Edward was born on December 7, 1928 in Salinas de Hidalgo, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Leopoldo Delgado and Antonia De Leon. Early in life, Edward sold soda on the streets of his hometown where he grew up with his eight other siblings. Edward was the second youngest and was apt to tell anyone about how he and his siblings would steal sips of soda before replacing the caps to sell them.It wasn't until many years later, as a young adult that he and his three brothers moved to the United States of America in search of their dreams. In his search, he found Bessie Delgado and they united in marriage on July 3, 1954 and she brought him into the Pentecostal faith. From that point, Edward was always focused on providing for his family, whether he was a truck driver, hotel owner, farmer, or landlord, he always strived to do his best and enjoy what he was doing. Anyone who knew Edward knew that one of his proudest accomplishments in life was becoming a Citizen of the United States. Though , he was the happiest while raising and supporting his family. He believed strongly in helping others and opening his home and heart to those in need.Edward is preceded in death by Evelyn Delgado(wife), Leopoldo Delgado(father), Antonia Delgado de Leon(mother), Mathias Delgado(brother), Jesus Delgado(sister), Frank Delgado(brother), Juanita Delgado(sister), Josephine Delgado(sister), Jose Delgado(brother), Manuel Delgado(brother) and Benjamin Delgado(brother).Edward is survived by John Edward Delgado(son), Jennie Delgado(daughter-in-law), Joseph Michael Delgado(son), Susan Delgado(daughter-in-law), Shawn Timothy Delgado(son), Debbie Delgado(daughter-in-law) in addition to seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.Pallbearers for Mr. Edward Delgado will be: Dustin Delgado, Mick Delgado, Matt Smith, and Chris Stolzenbach. Others TBD.Visitation for Mr. Edward Delgado will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00am until 12:00noon at Oakdale Funeral Home located at 401 Hwy 641 N. Camden, Tn 38320.
