Amy Adele Foster,D.M.A. of Knoxville and Kennesaw, Ga.,a choral conductor,collaborative pianist and profound Music Educator,died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, January 8, 2014 following a courageous battle with breast cancer at the age of forty-five. Amy earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Louisiana State University & Master of Music degree from Georgia State University. In 2006 she completed her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Accompanying & Chamber Music with a double minor in Choral Conducting & Piano Pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Her performing venues include Carnegie Hall,Spivey Hall & The Square Room in Knoxville, Tn. During her four years as the Director of Choral Activities at North Cobb High School at Kennesaw, Ga., her choirs consistently received various performance invitations, including being a part of the Coca-Cola 125th Anniversary Chorus. Her advanced choir was selected as one of the top choirs in Ga. She was a member of the Daughter of the American Revolution. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00pm(EST)Sunday, January 19, 2014 at The Faith Lutheran Church,225 Jamestowne Boulevard,Knoxville where the family will receive friends before and after the service. Pallbearers will be Evan Phenevongsa, Nicholas Pannell, Tom Pannell, Phil Anderson, Mike Anderson, Danny Cantrell, Phil Carman, Ed Miles.
