Ivadene Elaine Dhority, age 78 Mrs. Ivadene Dhority was a true, blue Yankee born and bread. But she was filled with wander lust, wherever her heart lead. From Pennsylvania to Arizona she was destined to roam, And even overseas, place like Korea, at one time was her home. She live life to the fullest, a true teacher at heart, She settled in Tennessee, with a wealth of knowledge to impart, Miss Rebecca knew she had found a diamond in the rough! Decatur County Adult Education without Miss Dean is going to be tough!! Miss Dean was so generous, sometimes to a fault and the ones closest to her heart were the ones she taught. A hard worker, a fighter, a teacher who's students came first, They felt it a privilege, an honor to be called one of her's. At first she might not have fit in with our slow Southern style, But we quickly learned she was a friend that would go the last mile. Dr. Price liked to tease her and always tried to get the last word, But, Miss Dean had already been there, done that and bought the T-Shirt!! We have all been truly blessed to know her and call her our friend. Now it is hard to say good-by when our journey together must end.
