Carroll "Bernadine" Winter Camden, Funeral Services for Mrs. Carroll Linn "Bernadine" Winter age 76, will be conducted on Tuesday August 28, 2007, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memory Gardens. She passed away Saturday August 25, 2007, in her home after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Winter was born March 11, 1931, in Grandview, Iowa to the late Carroll Linn and Magaret Cleda Bennett McGill. She lived most of her adult life in Tennessee after marrying James Robert Winter. She worked at Camden General Hospital in respiratory therapy for more than twenty years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie McGill, grandson, Joshua Noles and a son-in-law, David Matheny. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Sue Peterson and Donna Kay Hines both of Iowa, Bobbi Matheny of Jackson, Suzanne Sneigle of Hermatige, Sharon Moore of Paris, one son Bruce Winter of Hollow Rock, three sisters, Karen Dent, Sandra Tompkins and Judy Speth all of Iowa. Beradine leaves fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Visitation with the Winter will be on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Tuesday morning until time for the funeral service. Pallbearers to serve are Michael Billips, Dizzy Joyner, Jason Beneke, Brett Collins, Ian Winter, and favorite nurse Brad Lewis.
