Alma Jean Tharpe

THARPE, Alma Jean; age 63 of Camden, TN died Thursday, February 22, 2007 in Volunteer General Hospital in Martin. She was born June 4, 1943 to the late Homer and Della Moore Hayes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Tharpe Sr., 1 daughter, Darlene Thomas, 2 sisters Juanita Taylor and Redalla Harris, 3 brothers Joe Hays, Homer Hays, Jr., and Charlie Harris. Survivors include: Three Sons: Edward Tharpe of Camden Howard Tharpe of Martin James (Michelle) Tharpe of Camden One Daughter: Carlene Tharpe of Memphis Five Brothers: James (Pearl) Hayes of Ohio Billy (Brenda) Hayes of Ohio Harry (Mai) Hayes of Union City Bobby (Tara) Harris of Martin One Sister: Vickie Collins of Nashville 6 Grandchildren Host of Nieces and Nephews Mrs. Alma Jean Tharpe's remains are in the care of Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden where visitation with the family will be Monday from 12-2 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home.
