Mr Wesley Porter

Funeral Services for Mr. Porter, age 63, of Sugar Tree will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home - Decatur County with Mark Maxwell officiating. Interment will be in Hartley Cemetery. Mr. Porter was born January 31 1944 and passed away December 10, 2007 at his home. He was an electrician by trade and a memeber of Union Local #474 in Memphis. He was, also, a veteran and served our country in Vietnam. Mr. Porter was preceded in death by one sister Donna Humes. He is survived by his wife Becky Chastain Bennett Porter of Sugar Tree, two sons Wesley Scott Porter and fiancee Sandra Smith of Memphis, Steven Eric Porter and wife Ginger of Jacksonville, FL, one daughter Crystal Tully McCarver of Sugar Tree, his mother Virginia Good Smith of Cookeville, one sister Candace Woodul and husband Gus of Cookeville, one grandson Wyatt Cole Tully of Sugar Tree. He leaves a very large and loving support group of family and friends that loved him and was there 24-7 for him. Serving as Pallbearers: Mike McDonald, Michael Fizzel, Greg McCarver, Johnny Hall, Chuck Wright, Don Chastain. Honorary Pallbearers: Frank Miller, Harry McMinnmey, Pauy Arterberry.
