Mr Robert Gilliam Florence

Funeral services for Robert Gilliam (Peanut) Florence of Camden were held Tuesday February 6, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Oakdale Funeral Home with Bro. Walter German officiating. Pallbearers were Emory C. Florence, III, Mark Florence, David Hubbs, Elvin Johnson, David Markham, Barry Oxford, Mark Williams, Richard Wyatt, and honorary pallbearers were Tommy Bruce, Jimmy Hainley, and Alton Norwood. Mr. Florence passed February 3, 2007 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born January 30, 1945 in Jackson, TN, to the late Linnie Lashlee Florence and the late Emory C. Florence of Camden, TN. He was a technician for BellSouth for 31 years, a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and Elks Lodge #2156 where he served in several officer positions. He, also, was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his spouse Linda Florence; a daughter, Sacha (Kurt) Steele of Newport, Tennessee; a son, Rob (Katie) Florence of Knoxville, Tennessee; a sister, Minnie Lee (Jim) McKeel of Winter Haven, Florida; a brother, Emory C. (Norma) Florence, Jr. of Camden, TN. Burial was in the Camden City Cemetery.
