Lucille Hatley

Iva Lucille Hatley, age 93, of Camden, TN passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Hatley was born on January 26, 1930 in Huntingdon, TN to the late James Berry Espey and the late Rosa Lee Smothers Espey. She was also preceded by her loving husband, Melvin Ray Hatley, after 64 years of marriage; son, Tony Michael Hatley; sisters, Roselyn Espey and Louise Espey Hartstein. Mrs. Hatley was a Christian by faith.

Lucille and Ray, as their friends knew them, were always together. They enjoyed fishing and walking along the banks of the river searching for arrowheads. They were also fond of going to garage sales and flea markets searching for treasures. Lucille loved spending time with her 6 children and grandchildren and wrote poems to them for their birthdays. Family meant everything to her. She was a homemaker and took pride in that.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 3 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Gleason officiating. Burial will follow in the Camden City Cemetery.
