Mrs. Rachel JoAnn Kee, age 81 passed away on November 24, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital. Mrs. Kee was born on August 17, 1939 in Franklin County, AL to the late Floyd Isaac Humphres and Mary Elizabeth Henning. She was also preceded in death byher husband Louis Wayman Kee; their son, Louis Allen Kee; brother, Jackie Humphres; brothers-in-law, Jack Dorsey, Edward Kee, Willard Kee, Malcom Kee and sisters-in-law, Leu Ellyn Kee and Tuxie Kee.
She worked for Abbott Lab and Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Illinois before moving with her husband Louis to Camden where they built their home and spent 60 beautiful years together. Their family was soon complete with the addition of their son Allen, the center of their universe during his time on earth. Mrs. Kee was a nurse to many in Camden, working both in the Benton County home healthcare and the Camden Rehab Nursing Home.
JoAnn’s passion for many years was working with the Camden RSVP where she helped run programs, established a small library, and served as master corn bread maker for countless community dinners. JoAnn was honored on numerous occasions for her service to the community. She loved to share a laugh, a plant, and a recipe with anyone she met; everyone was family to JoAnn. She brightened every room she entered and enjoyed sparking spirited debates. Anyone that knew JoAnn knew what a fierce and loving person she was. Her family, her community, and her dog Max meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed.

Nephews: Thomas (Mark) Pullen, Bobby Pullen, Bill Dorsey, Mark (Kim) Kee, Kevin (Kim) Kee, Jeff (Nancy) Kee
Many more nieces and nephews all of which he dearly loved.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Camden City Cemetery with Bro. Russell Ragsdale officiating.
