Mary Blackwell Hays

Mary Blackwell Hays born October 18, 1935 passed July 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Richard (Jim) and Bessie Pearl Vingard Blackwell and her husband James Floyd (Tip) Hays. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Edward and Thomas Wayne Hays.

She was the last surviving member of her eleven brothers and sisters, Lucille Blackwell Hendrix, Bertha Mae Blackwell, Carl Wesley Blackwell, Leslie Blackwell, Lorene Blackwell Reeves, James Loyce (Crat) Blackwell, Alice Mable Blackwell Biggs, Thomas Edward Blackwell, Rayvon (Tadpole) Blackwell and Myrtle Virginia Blackwell Weatherford.

She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She attended Iron Hill Pentecostal Church where she went for many years and had many friends who loved her like family.

The family wants to thank the nursing staff of Decatur County Manor and Bro. Darrin Graves.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Thursday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM

Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home with Bro. Darrin  Graves  officiating. Burial will follow at Dukes Cemetery at Darden, TN
