Robert Ray Baker of Parsons, TN quietly passed away at his home on April 30. Robert (Bob) was born March 23, 1937 in Lansing, Michigan. Army Veteran Sergeant Robert Baker served in the US Army and the Michigan National Guard working in the motor pool and later as a team leader in helicopter repair and support. This experience led to his role as Director of Pupil Transportation serving in Michigan school systems for many years and retiring in 1996. Bob is survived by his wife Fay Dean Baker, Sisters Barb, Sherri, and a brother Russ. Sons: Steve Goddard (Chris) Grandson Steven, Bob Baker (Song he) Grand Daughters Teresa and Connie, Chris Parker (Noelle) Grand Daughters Violet and Emmeline, Todd Parker (Shelley) Grand Daughters Ashlyn and Alyee, Scott Baker (Hayley) Grand Daughters Noelle, Nicole, Allison, Grandsons Zachary, Caleb, and Cameron. Pallbearers are friends neighbors and grandsons.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home will continue on Thursday at 10:00 AM will and continue until service.
Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home with Bro Kevin Bromley officiating. Burial will follow at Old Baptist Church Cemetery near Decaturville, TN
