Robert "Bobby" Swift

Robert “Bobby” Swift age 83 of Decaturville, TN passed away Sunday, October 29 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born December 14, 1939 in Decatur County, TN to the late William George Swift and Velma Lorene Wilson Swift. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Bowman, two  sisters, Elizabeth Perkins and Becky Moody. He was a Towboat Captain for Ohio Tow Boat Company for 26 years and was a member of The Lords Missionary Baptist Church.

Wife: Nellie  Swift of Decaturville, TN

Daughters : Cindy Creasy (Gary) of Scotts Hill, TN

                     Sonda Thornton of Lexington, TN

                     Sherry Brawley (Tim) of Decaturville, TN

Brothers: Jerry Swift (Grace) of Parsons, TN

                Ronnie Swift of Decaturville, TN

Sisters: Joyce Blankenship of Brownsville, TN

            Gail Smith (Mike) of Linden, TN

Grandchildren: Aaron Brawley, Laura Brasher (Derrick), Cameron Creasy, Ashton Lowery (Johnny), Aleshia Croom (Chandler), Christa Galbraith (Micheal) Sarah Dickson (Justin), Kenneth Thornton.

Sixteen Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephew and many many friends.

Visitation with the Swift family will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 1 PM until 10 PM and on Thursday from 10 AM until 2 PM at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, Nov 2, 2023 at 2 PM at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church with Bro. Jeremy Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  

All visitation and Service will be at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church building fund.
