Sarah Alice Goforth

Sarah Alice Goforth, 86, of Paris, TN passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Henry County Healthcare in Paris, TN. Mrs. Goforth was born on August 21, 1936 in Big Sandy,TN to the late Herman Boyd Lowery and Grace Baker Lowery. She was also preceded in death by her husband Odean Goforth: brothers Audell Lowery and Kenneth Lowry: grandson Jason Goforth: granddaughter Annie Goforth. Mrs. Goforth was a member of the Paris Church of God Prophecy. She had the gift of hospitality with a passion for cooking, baking and canning. She was also an avid gardener and loved working in her church and community.

Sons: Anthony (Janice) Goforth of Doylestown, OH; Timothy (Gwen) Goforth of Lexington, NC; Daughters: Cynthia Melton of Big Sandy, TN; Lori (Harry) Moseley of Knoxville, TN; Grandchildren: Holly (Aaron) Jones, Jessica Welborn (James Williams), Harrison Moseley, Hayden Moseley; Great Grandchildren: Peyton, Eli, Kathryn, Leah, Miley, Piper, James, Bentley, Emelyn

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, October 21. 2022  from 5:00-8:00 pm at Oakdale Funeral Home and again on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 am at Oakdale Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Everett Holloway and Bro. Mike Burton. Burial will follow in Benton Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Paris Church of God of Prophecy, Samaritan’s Purse or the charity of your choice.
