Sherman Gene Hesson

Sherman Gene Hesson, 85, of Camden, died in hospice care on December 24, 2023 after a prolonged illness. Born July 18, 1938 in New Haven, West Virginia, he was the youngest of eight children of the late Howard Roscoe and Helen (Warth) Hesson. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired truck driver, and earlier in life, was a TV repairman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Jr., Johnnie Edwin Hesson; sisters, Joann Gibbs, Ada Mae Ericson, Buelah Mae Parker, Helen Lousie Gerek, first wife Donna Mae Kelch and son Quintin Gene Hesson. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Julie (Chapin-Stanfield) Hesson, sister Margaret Mae Nexsen and niece Donna Gerek.

At his request, no funeral service will be held.

Oakdale Funeral Home is in charge of his cremation.
